Google recommends that G Suite customers continue to use Drive for Mac/PC until a new enterprise-focused solution called Drive File Stream becomes generally available to all G Suite Basic, Business, Enterprise, Education and Nonprofit domains. Google Drive File Stream is currently available for Early Adopter Program (EAP) members. And presentation files that are backed up can be opened with Google Slides or Google Drive.Įven though Google Backup and Sync is primarily intended for consumer usage, the new application will respect the current Drive Mac/PC settings in the G Suite Admin console.
